Located at Holbrook Drive and Camino Tassajara, Sycamore Valley Park has a children’s play area with a famous outdoor fountain, a reflective pond with waterfall, and a jogging trail that meanders through the park.

There are eight picnic tables and barbecue pits in the picnic area adjacent to the baseball diamonds (entrance on the Sherburne Hills Drive). Additionally, there has been added a new community picnic area adjacent to the bocce ball courts which can accommodate up to 65 people.

For those hot summer days a shade system was also added to the bocce ball courts. Kids of all ages have enjoyed new play equipment including newly added slides, swings and climbers, as well as water feature for kids in the play area.

One thing that Danville San Ramon did was think smart back in the late 70 ‘s early 80’s expecting a construction boom … they set aside enough land for parks, jogging / biking trails, soccer fields and minor league grounds. Those cities are full of them. Sycamore is a wonderful outdoor bocce ball park, playground for girls, little league and both grass and turf fields.

This is certainly one of the standouts in a town full of GREAT Parks. Here there’s so much to do … a large playground with areas for different age groups, a bocce court (for the elderly), a grassy field with a pond, and a Massive multipurpose synthetic turf field for soccer games, baseball, field hockey, etc. On the park’s north side is a starting point for a pretty good trail system that roams the surrounding hills.

Whether it’s a school mate or someone new, your kids will always find someone their age to play with. The park benches with their Starbucks cups, yoga pants and smartphones are still full of lovely Danville mothers.

Facilities are often clean and safe, and parking is generally accessible, except in the athletic fields during busy events. Go and get a latte and take a look!

They have a nice playground, not brand-new but everything works well. Water zone is magnificent. In the center is a secret sandy field. Bathrooms and filtered potable water are close to the playground entrance. Plus, they have lots of benches and picnic tables.

The upper fields look with cows grazing up to the hillsides. A gentle breeze seemed to blow up there sometimes. It looks down on the lower fields, on the opposite side.

The two are separated by beautiful healthy looking trees that offer the upper fields some shade relief.
