This 20-acre park is famous for the water-snake mosaic that winds down a hillside. The park has a play area for kids, a sand volleyball court, a covered picnic area, lighted sports grounds and two tennis courts. You can rent the sports fields, tennis courts, picnic area and a snack shack.

Will a younger child want to be exploring? The Diablo Vista Park Playground is suitable for children 4 and under. The pint-sized climbing frames, bucket swings and wide sandy area of this park, affectionately known as “Snake Land,” are ideal for children. The park is divided into three play areas: one with small structures, one with slides and climbing frame, and one with swings.

The park’s centerpiece is a big tile snake. The snake, covered with fountains and a cement base, slithers down a hill providing several different routes for pint-sized climbers to discover. Children scaling the snake are treated to a view of the park from a bird’s eye.

Diablo Vista has both a field of turf (aka MTV), and a field of grass. MTV is one of Danville ‘s best turf-fields. Parking adjacent to the field (entrance eastwards via Crow Canyon). If there is a full parking lot, go up (east) on Crow Canyon, take a right at Tassajara Ranch Drive, then turn right at the stop sign. Lots of parking spaces adjacent to the grass field, and a short walk to MTV.

Bathrooms are closer to grass fields and are located in the park centre. Even the park has some good baseball fields, basketball courts, and children’s play structures.

It’s not a huge park, but it has a bit of everything and everything is well maintained. There’s plenty of shade, sports facilities and a great playground around. A lot has to do with the playground, with a good variety of structures. It is also surrounded by picnic tables at which to eat, or where parents can sit and watch their children. It’s a great children’s park, as the playground keeps them entertained and is partially enclosed for safety. This park is surrounded by fields of football and softball, and has many mature trees. If you happen to go on the weekend when there is a large parking lot for the soccer tournament, parking may be difficult to find but there is ample parking for the most part.

This park has something for all. They have synthetic soccer fields (dogs are not allowed), 2 baseball fields, 2 small playgrounds, shaded car park, several shaded picnic benches, also walking distance from Red Willow Park. Crow Canyon & Dougherty is right outside. Also clean bathrooms which is a bonus.
