Danville South Park could be hard to find. It’s located in the suburbs to the south of Danville just east of I-680. Danville South is a small park with a grass field, structures for play, swings and a small area of sand.

There are huge trees that surround the area leaving it beautifully shaded in the morning. It is protected by its fully fenced exterior, preventing children from wandering off. The park has benches and a dining table for snacks or lunch.

This park is ideal every time of the year: in winter it is protected and in summer it provides some shade. There are portable toilets at this site.

Reservations for this park are not approved, use of the picnic table is first come, first serve.

It’s an impressive, tiny community park. If your home is just next door, it’s just a few minutes of walk to go there. Kids will love the little playground, where they can hang out and make new friends here. There are two slides, a pit, swings and see-saws.

It’s a pleasant small park where children aged 1-5 can run around in the park, with a very wide field. It is tucked away both a Basketball court and an outhouse. Even a nice place for picnics. It’s a green space to practice sports, or even small kite flying. Not the same facilities as bigger parks, but it’s a nice community park.

One of the oldest parks in the area, Danville South Park, received a makeover early 2013 at 1885 Camino Ramon. Part of the project was the demolition of high walls on Camino Ramon that shielded the park from view. The rededication ceremony for the park highlighted the new game tables, bathrooms and beautified green space in the park, and will feature sports, crafts, free hot dogs and beverages.

A park is an open space area created for public use, which is normally managed and maintained by a municipal government. Parks usually mimic savannas or open woodlands, the forms of nature most calming to humans. Usually, grass is kept short to deter insect pests and to encourage picnics and sports events to be enjoyed. Trees are selected for their beauty and to offer shade.

Danville South Park is highly recommended to the neighborhood and everybody.
