Gale Ranch Middle School opened on 25 August 2008 with the mission of preparing students to excel in all fields. They consistently monitor and gage their effectiveness in this effort and adjust when necessary. They firmly believe that they learn from their mistakes and provide a safe environment in which children can learn, fail, persevere and succeed.
In the 2012/2013 school year, they were honored to be a California Distinguished School and in the 14/15 school year, they were named California Golden Ribbon School. Their staff, students and the parent community are working very hard to achieve not only academic excellence but overall good citizenship through their active character building activities and programs. They have an active PTSA and an educational fund.
Online Tutoring
GRMS is excited to continue its 1:1 virtual tutoring program. Tutoring sessions will be delivered via online video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet. Dougherty Valley High School students who are members of the National Honor Society (NHS) and/or ConnectEd will provide tutoring to GRMS students. Over the last few years, GRMS has been successfully partnering with DVHS SLIM and ConnectED students to provide tutoring.
