About the Alamo Oaks 

The Alamo is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Contra Costa County, California, United States. It is a suburb located in the San Francisco Bay Area’s East Bay region, about 28 miles (45 kilometers) east of San Francisco.

 The city of Walnut Creek is approximately 30 miles south, and the incorporated town of Danville is about 71 kilometers (44 miles) north. Alamo is located midway between Walnut Creek and Danville, at an approximate distance of 57 kilometers (35 miles) from each. The community of Alamo is noted for its rural atmosphere, notable residents, and proximity to East Contra Costa County’s open space preserves.

The region comprising present-day Alamo was originally part of Rancho San Ramon, an 1835 land grant to José María Amador by the Mexican government.

Diablo Country Club is a beautiful and challenging golf course that has been in business for more than a decade. It features five sets of tees, and the front nine holes are perfect if you want to play an easier round. The back nine offers challenges including water hazards, sand traps, and more difficult greens. 

Diablo Country Club is the perfect place to get away from it all with some friends or family members.

2. Blackhawk Museum | 3700 Blackhawk Plaza Cir, Danville, CA 94506

The Blackhawk Museums is a collection of museums in Danville, California famous for its large number of antique, unusual, and one-of-a-kind motor vehicles. The museum is a not-for-profit 5013 private operating foundation. There are about 90 classic automobiles on display at the museum.

Las Trampas Wilderness Regional Preserve offers 5,778 acres of wilderness and an expanded trail system that allows hikers and horseback riders to enjoy its remote and rugged areas. The park’s size and terrain allow visitors a feeling of privacy and escape from urban hustle and bustle. Carry plenty of drinking water for yourself, your dog(s), and your horse(s) when visiting the park. The park’s water supply is inconsistent and water may be unavailable at any time.

The Creekside Community Church is a small church in a small town with a big heart for God. We are committed to sharing the love of Christ with our community and surrounding areas by hosting events, offering spiritual guidance, and ministering to those who need it most.

We have seen families grow and are grateful to call many of these families friends. This is why we wanted to share some exciting news with everyone. After much prayer and discussion with our leadership team, we have decided it’s time for us to build on our current location so that more people can be reached through ministry opportunities at Creekside Community Church.

Danville Presbyterian Church is a family-centered church with intentionally no age segregation. We don’t have youth groups, single groups, or young marrieds, for example. Instead of these things, we have a Family Integrated Church in which all ages worship together and learn from one another. Furthermore, within the setting of the local church, the family and home serve as the primary locations for spiritual growth.

However, we recognize that some of our members are still in training and offer a separate area for parents with preschoolers on request. We feel it is critical for children to participate in worship services with their parents from first grade onward. This fosters family togetherness, provides a model for the youngsters, and establishes a pattern for adulthood.

It’s one of my favorite places to visit when I’m looking for a little peace and quiet or just want to get away from all the distractions that life can offer. In this peaceful community, you will find majestic oak trees, lush green grass, and well-manicured lawns. If you’re looking for a place where you can relax while enjoying nature, then look no further than Livorna Park.

2. Vista Grande Elementary School | 667 Diablo Rd, Danville, CA 94526

The Vista Grande Elementary School is a public school in Diablo Rd, Danville. It has been voted as the top-rated elementary school in the city for five consecutive years. The students at this school are very lucky to have such an amazing education. They work hard every day to make sure they go beyond what is expected of them.

Monte Vista High School is located in the beautiful town of Danville just east of San Francisco Bay. The student body consists of over 2,000 students with diverse backgrounds and cultures that makes for an interesting learning environment.

Little Free Libraries are popping up everywhere and they have been making a big difference in people’s lives. They give book lovers an opportunity to get new reads for free.  The best part is, it’s all completely legal. Here’s a little backstory on how this genius idea came about: A man named Todd Bol built his own miniature library out of cedarwood and used old windows as doors in 2009 near Hudson, Wisconsin. He filled the shelves with books he had read and wanted others to enjoy. After seeing what Bol did, one woman decided she would take her love of reading even further by creating libraries where anyone could leave or take a book.
